# A school born to take people around the world

GlobalMente was born from a dream: to transform lives through international study and cultural experiences. Today it is a live online language school and a study-abroad agency, both run by the same person.

## How it began

It all started with a wish to help people travel the world and come back changed. Over the years, GlobalMente groups have studied and lived the culture of countries like England, Canada, the United States and France.

The live online language school grew out of that same idea: learning a language is more than mastering structure and vocabulary. It’s gaining a new way to communicate, connect and grow.

That’s why the two sides of the school go together. Students have a natural path to studying abroad, in the same place and with the same people.

## Who is Rose Aquino

Rose Aquino is an educator and the founder and director of GlobalMente, with more than 12 years of experience in study-abroad programs.

She organizes every program and travels with the group: guidance before departure, support during the trip and constant follow-up at the destination.

At the school, the same care shows in the team: teachers with a degree in education, C1 or C2 proficiency in the language, and training from Oxford in Brazil.

## Mission and vision

Mission: to empower people to communicate with confidence across languages and cultures, through high-quality live teaching and transformative international experiences that broaden personal and professional horizons and foster love, respect and service to others.

Vision: to be a global reference in language education and in study-abroad and cultural programs, connecting people and opportunities in an ever more interconnected world, with fluency, diversity and human growth.

## Students in Brazil and around the world

The school is 100% live online. That means students in any city in Brazil, Brazilians living abroad and people of other nationalities who want to learn, all in the same virtual classroom.

Home base is Belo Horizonte, Brazil, and everything starts on WhatsApp. Classes take place on Zoom, at a time agreed with the group.
